Packed with a powerful 48V 40Ah battery pack, the Tornado 598e unleashes enough power to tackle lawns up to 4500 sqm in around 60 minutes on just one charge. Its battery power also means a quieter ride, low vibrations and zero emissions. A powerful 1.2kW transaxle motor lets you reach a top speed of 9,5km/h while two cutting blade motors totalling 3kW give you a crisp cut with minimal maintenance.
Thanks to a Bluetooth module, the machine can easily connect to the STIGA.GO App on your phone, which can both work as a dashboard and give you at-a-glance information on your mowing session, and it also features readouts on previous sessions, CO2 saved, maintenance activities, smart charge fucntion. Through the app you can also contact your local dealer directly, for quicker assistance. To increase runtime, an eco mode reduces blade rotations in light cutting conditions. And for an easy ride even in poor light, the Tornado 598e’s LED headlights illuminate all in your path. As a ride on mulching lawn mower, this Tornado will finely shred and spread grass cuttings to naturally fertilise your lawn. And thanks to its broad 98cm cutting width, adjustable to 7 heights between 25 to 80mm, the Tornado 598e will tackle your lawn rapidly. The mulching plug is available as an optional extra.

Carrying handles
The STIHL battery-powered lawn mower has two carrying handles integrated into the housing for ease of transport. They make the cordless mower easier to load or return to the upright position. The carrying handles are also suitable as lashing points, for example for securing the lawn mower with a strap during transport.
Foldable grass catcher box
The innovative grass catcher box is made of plastic and features a folding mechanism that makes it particularly easy to open and empty. The current of air produced during mowing blows the clippings into the grass catcher box and ensures its optimum filling. Special vanes in the box channel the air towards the ground, and so protect the user and lawn mower alike from dust and dirt that has been thrown up. The level indicator signals the correct time for emptying. The airflow generated by the blade raises the level indicator. When the basket is full, the airflow stops. If the airflow is too low, the level indicator returns to its idle state and this is an indication to empty the catcher box. Optimal airflow is required in order for the level indicator to function fully. External influences such as wet, dense or tall grass, a low cutting height, contamination, etc. may affect the airflow and the performance of the level indicator.
