DSRM-2600/L – Battery trimmer with petrol-like performance.
The DSRM-2600 is designed for professional-level work. The brushless motor at its heart offers power equivalent to a 25 cm³ petrol engine, combine this with perfect balance and an array of features for comfort and you have a tool perfectly suited to making light work of big jobs. The sequential 3-step speed control and engine-like throttle lever give precise cutting and have been built for responsiveness that feels just like a petrol-powered tool. Weighing in at only 3.2kg, it’s the lightest trimmer in its class. With a perfect centre of balance, you have a tool that’s extremely manoeuvrable and comfortable to use over long periods of time.
Petrol like performance.
Features an advanced outer rotor type motor, which is lightweight and provides high output comparable to a 25 cm³ engine brushcutter. The rotor generates high dynamic force, just like the flywheel on a petrol engine, which keeps the machine running smoothly and unhindered, even when dealing with long grass or thick brush.
Lightest in its class.
The DSRM-2600 is lightweight yet robust. In fact, at just 3.2kg, it’s the lightest trimmer in its class, meaning in terms of power to weight ratio, it out-performs 25 cm³ trimmers.
Run time.
A feature called ECO mode ensures that power is not wasted and is utilised when most needed, giving the DSRM-2600 an estimated run time of around 30 minutes of continuous use on the highest power (with LBP-560-200).

Reduced-emission engine technology
2-stroke engine with stratified charge. A fuel-free layer of air is created between the burned charge in the combustion chamber and the fresh charge in the crankcase, reducing the amount of fuel lost during the charge cycle. This results in more power with a lower weight, up to 20% lower fuel consumption than regular 2-stroke engines and significantly reduced exhaust emissions.
Manual fuel pump (Purger)
A small fuel pump delivers fuel to the carburettor at the touch of a button. This reduces the number of starting strokes required following extended breaks in operations.
STIHL ErgoStart (E)
STIHL ErgoStart cuts the effort required to start the tool by half, while the starter cord can be pulled at just one third of the normal force. A coil spring between the starter cord and the crankshaft smoothes out force peaks, making them virtually undetectable through the cord itself.
Simplified starting system
Simply set the choke, pump the fuel primer, pull the starter cord and away you go! The running machine then switches off after a brief press of the stop button. Once the machine is at a standstill, the ignition activates again automatically. Thus the ignition is always ready for starting.
